RAD Songs - Songerus Prolifourus Vox Parodiseus

RAD Songs

Rick A Duncan (RAD) was influenced by CSNY, The Who, The Beatles, Mozart & Beethoven. But - and this is strictly my own opinion - somewhere along the line he got severely corrupted by the likes of Tom Lehrer , Alan Sherman , and most certainly PDQ Bach. As talent & perseverance would have it, he has actually been very successful in that Universe, having often shared a stage with those very artists on the Dr Demento radio program, among others. I personally found the classical influenced sections on RAD Compositions very interesting and surprisingly polished, but the traditional RAD humor that he has built his career on is represented mightily in the 25 selections here on RAD Songs. On those dumb postcards, we are all fat and happy forever. Wake up, Hallmark! This is what we are like in the real world. (-Edited)

This was hard to do, I wrote out every note because I wanted to make sure I didn`t accidentally sing on a beat. Of course, as a singer, I rarely hit on a note accurately anyway.

I`m not sure I want this one posted, but it`s one of my old favorites. I wrote it when I was in the hospital for four days. You decide.

Another favorite. I love the synth riff that barrels through the whole thing.

I say if you talk it, walk it. I don`t mind hard core religious people if they live by their beliefs. This song is about one of the phonies that are all too common.

Sad how corporations and progress are taking over all the small quaint businesses of our past. Can you believe the violin solo was only one take?

Lou Quest, the Rudest Nudist

I told Mari I was going to write a song about this subject. She said "Fine, but you`ll never be able to play it anywhere." We not only played it on two radio stations, but it gets big laughs everywhere. Except at nudist camps.
